Punta Manara at sunset is a trekking tour suitable for everyone.
Punta Manara is a promontory jutting out towards the Gulf of Tigullio which extends between Sestri Levante and Riva Trigoso from where you can admire a spectacular view that ranges from Portofino to Punta Mesco.
We will walk for about an hour, on a slightly uphill path, but with breathtaking viewpoints, and we will arrive at one of the most beautiful views of the Eastern Riviera. Once we reach the summit we will find a Saracen tower, born as a watchtower. Over time it was transformed into a windmill and in the last century it found new life as a base for a telegraph. So much so that the promontory is also called “The Telegraph”.
A fantastic panorama over the whole Gulf of Tigullio will frame us, with the lights of the sunset we will make a toast with Ligurian focaccia and drinks while waiting for dusk before returning easily along another path through the terraced olive trees and the Mediterranean bush. The short pleasant descent will allow us to reach the illuminated village of Sestri Levante again, with its marvelous Bay of Silence set in it.
